COBOL INITIATE

>COBOL INITIATE Statement
The COBOL INITIATE statement starts the processing of the ReportName report or reports. Before the COBOL INITIATE statement is executed the file associated with the Report must have been opened for OUTPUT or EXTEND.

The COBOL INITIATE statement causes the Report Writer Control System (RWCS) to begin processing a report.

The COBOL INITIATE is used to initiate RWCS' internal variables.
