>COBOL DIVIDE Statement
The COBOL DIVIDE statement divides one numeric data item into/by others and sets the values of data items equal to the quotient and remainder.

>COBOL DIVIDE Statement
The COBOL DIVIDE statement divides one numeric data item into one or more others, assigns the result to a data item, and optionally assigns a remainder to another data item. There are five formats of the COBOL DIVIDE statement

>COBOL DIVIDE Statement
The basic form of the COBOL DIVIDE statement is: DIVIDE value INTO field-1, which divides value (either a literal or a field) into field-1 and stores the result in field-1.

>COBOL DIVIDE Statement
The COBOL DIVIDE statement divides one or more numeric data items by another and sets the value of the data items equal to the quotient, optionally storing the remainder.
